This was a total transformation as you can see from the before and after pictures. The existing siding was vertical cedar and which was removed and replaced with stained Mahogany. The modern design and colors turned out amazing with the contrast between the stucco and natural wood.
Street of Dreams , West Linn
It's all about the details when it comes to the Street Of Dreams projects. dK Exteriors wrapped the house with Hydro-Gap WRP and then installed Artisan Lap siding on the front with mitered corners. The sides and back have batt & board on the lower floor made with Hardie panel and trim.
The sides and back on the upper floor is Hardie Plank. Windows are trimmed out with Hardie trim with backer-rod and caulked.
NW Portland - Cedar Project
The lower section of the house is installed with Cedar beviled siding and the windows are trimmed with cedar. The top trim board is one inch longer on both sides of the windows to give it a Craftman's style. It also has a bottom sill. The second story is stained with Cedar shake. The is a belly band between the first and second floor that is flashed with Z metal flashing and the soffet areas are Tongue and Groove cedar.

Here is an old house that had Lead base paint. This project involved removing the old Cedar siding , replacing the old wood windows with vinyl, and siding the house with Hardie plank. After the new siding and windows, we finished it off with a low voc paint.
North Portland, OR
This project involved replacing the old cedar siding on the south side of the house. The upper gable section is Cedar shake and the lower section is beveled Cedar. The windows were trimmed out with Cedar and crown molding at the top of each window to add detail.
Tigard, OR
This project was a custom built house and the designers had a focused effort on weather proofing. So, we installed a rain screen system. The rain screen system allows any water that gets behind the siding to escape through the bottom of it through channels between the siding and building paper.
Beaverton, OR
This project like many, was completed for a real estate transaction. The buyer liked the house, but the inspection report noted dry rot in some area of the extisting T1-11 siding. d/K Exteriors removed the dry rot and resided with Hardie plank and Hardie trim. We also installed a belly band between the gable and lower section, trimmed out the windows and also installed a new garage door.

The Builder / Architect was building a high efficiency house and we did our part when we installed the new high efficiency windows . We also Installed 1/2" Dow foam board under the siding that gave the house an additional R value of 3. We also Installed a rainscreen system that allows any water that gets behind the siding to escape through channels between the siding and WRB / Foam. This provides constant airflow which is key to preventing dry rot.
Terasa's Vineyard, West Linn, OR
This custom built home is on the same street as the 2012 Street Of Dreams. dK Exteriors sided the front of the house with Artisan premier lap siding. This creates deep shadow lines and the corners are mitered to create classical design features for the luxury home. For the sides and back of the house, we used Hardie lap cedarmill and all the windows were trimmed out with Hardie trim.

This cleint was referied to us by her home inspector. The siding was in bad shape and had some dry rot. We removed all the old siding and replaced it with Hardie Plank, as well as giving it a fresh new paint job. Most of the dry rot was around the garage that we replaced.
NW Portland, OR
This customer had heard about dry rot on their neighbors house. They were worried about all the talk about the EIFS issues. As you can see from the dry rot picture, residing their house was the right thing to do.
dK Exteriors removed all the existing Eifs, replaced the dry rotted areas, and added stone over the arch and garage. These features really upgraded the look of this house.

updating the siding. the Existing t-11 siding was dry rotting along the bottom edge, so we cut out the bottom two feet and replaced it with new plywood then installed new WRB and then installed Hardie plank overtop of the existing siding.
